AmeriCorps
Americorps, a domestic version of the Peace Corps, is a national service initiative organized by the Corporation for National and Community Service in which members improve local communities through service. AmeriCorps members are placed through Connect, a project of the Orangewood Children's Foundation and contractor for the Children and Families Commission of Orange County to provide management and oversight of Americorps and VISTA members. AmeriCorps members usually serve one year at family resource centers. Service provided by AmeriCorps members are:
