- Health Education Classes
- Developmental Screenings
- Immunization Screenings
- In-Home Health and Safety Education for Parents with Newborns
- Medical Home Visits with a Public Health Nurse or Promotora/Health Advocate
- Referrals to Community Agencies and Support Services

FaCT (Families and Communities Together)
The La Habra Family Resource Center was funded for a 5 year program by the County of Orange Social Service Agency in partnership with the Orangewood Children's Foundation for "Promoting Safe and Stable Families Program," also known in Orange County as the FaCT program. Goals of the program are to:
- Maintain the safety of children in their homes
- Help families through crises that might lead to the removal of children from their homes or speed return of children to their homes
- Alleviate stress and promote parental competencies
As part of the agreement, IHA is associated with four other organizations: Public Law Center (legal service), the Boys and Girls Club of La Habra (anti-drug, anti-gang programs and childcare), Western Youth Services (Individual/Family/Group Counseling and Parenting Classes) and Interval House (Domestic Violence Services) to offer the following services:
- Family Advocacy and Case Management
- Community Resources and Referrals
- Adoption and Kinship Services
- Family Reunification
- Domestic Violence Services
- Legal Assistance
- Counseling - Individual, Family, and Group
- Parent Education Classes - Spanish and English
- S.M.A.R.T Moves Program

AmeriCorps
AmeriCorps, a domestic version of the Peace Corps, is a national service initiative organized by the Corporation for National and Community Service in which members improve local communities through service. AmeriCorps*VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) Members provide indirect service. For more information about AmeriCorps and placement, click here.
AmeriCorps members are placed through Connect, a project of the Orangewood Children's Foundation and contractor for the Children and Families Commission of Orange County to provide management and oversight of AmeriCorps and VISTA members. AmeriCorps members usually serve one year at family resource centers. Service provided by AmeriCorps members are:
